Easy Date Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup Cinderella Camel Dates
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 cup coconut cream or cream

Method

  1. Soak Cinderella Camel Dates in boiling water and cover for 5 minutes to soften. Drain and discard liquid. Place dates in a food processor and process until smooth.
  1. Gently heatĀ pureed dates, maple syrup and coconut cream or cream, stirring continuously until sauce blended and smooth. Do not allow sauce to boil. Remove from the heat. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Serving ideas:

  • Serve over warm ginger pudding
  • Serve over vanilla or hokey pokey icecream
  • Serve over poached pears and icecream
  • Cool and stir into natural Greek yoghurt.
  • Serve with fresh fruits like mango, pineapple and paw paw
