Almond and Orange Macaroons

Cooking Time 15-20 minutes
¾ cup Cinderella Almond Meal
½ cup caster sugar
Zest from ½ orange
1 (no 7) egg white
¼ cup sliced almonds, chopped
- Preheat oven to 160°C (fan assisted). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Sift Cinderella Almond Meal and caster sugar into a mixing bowl. Stir in orange zest.
- Whisk the egg white until foamy. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix together. Roll mixture into small balls. Roll balls into the chopped almonds. Place on the tray and flatten slightly. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Once cold store in an airtight container.
To make almond macaroons omit the orange zest if wished
